ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THE WEEK OF JULY 12, 2015

  • WOMEN'S LECTURE SERIES, "Engineering Your Divinity." A lecture series presented by Aubrey Aguilar (Colfax Ward) and Kandice Held (Terre View Ward).  All of us have strong testimonies, but sometimes they are not enough to help us out of the fear that is holding us to our negative thinking patterns, mental and emotional distress and addictions.  Our mission is to teach how to separate your true self from your mental, emotional, addictive feelings and behaviors and engineer a happy, vibrant, and abundant life using actionable tools and accessing grace.                                        WHEN: Nov 8, Nov 15, Nov 22, and Nov 29                                                                               WHERE: Whitman County Library, Colfax                                                                                  TIME: 6:00pm-7:30pm                                                                                                                  Come comfy casual (even your sweats)!  Warm beverages served.

  • Food Pantry Donation for the month of OCTOBER is SOUP OR CHILI.  Also there is an ongoing need for Granola bars, Top Ramen Noodles, Cup-o-noodles, and boxed dinners.  You will be blessed for helping those in need!  Food donations have been awesome!  Thank you all for keeping our community in mind with your ongoing donations.  There is also need for volunteers on Tuesdays between 10am and 2pm.  Please contact Gail McNeilly at 509-397-4179 or Monica Hardie at 509-270-3164 to sign up to volunteer.
  • POSITIVE WORD TEXT TAG.  Let's play tag text in the Relief Society this week!  Text one sister and tell her something that she does well or that you admire about her.  Then text tag you're it!  When you get tagged, text a different sister in the ward and do the same.  Let's see how many people we can tag text positive things to and see the shift in love and energy in our Relief Society!
  • STAKE NATIVITIES: Here's a planning update from Lydia Stucki, the organizer of this year's Nativites Around the World.  "Families and individuals, kids and adults are invited to create a one-of-a-kind nativity for display a the Nativities of the World event.  Use your imaginations, household supplies and craft items during a Family Home Evening or mother-daughter afternoon to build a unique nativity-and memory.  Please plan to bring your nativity to the Stake Center on Friday, December 4th."  Contact Lydia Stucki with questions at: MeaningfulMemo@gmail.com
  • HAVE YOU SERVED? The Season of Service, sponsored by the Moscow Stake, is well under way and runs until November 13.  Still four weeks to participate in any community service project.  We invite each member of the stake ages 13 and up to register for your own account at justserve.org and then find a service opportunity that interests you.  Report your service project to John Langston.
