Relief Society Summer Putluck

What is your favorite book or poem? 

...Start thinking about that question!
Join us Tuesday, July 9th, 6:30 PM at the church for our Annual Relief Society Summer Potluck. Bring a Salad or Dessert, plus bring your favorite book or poem to share with the group. Tell us what it's about, what you like about it, how you discovered it and even read an excerpt. We'll sit outside on the lawn weather permitting, so bring a lawn chair or blanket to spread out. Looking forward to a fun evening with wonderful friends!

Let's Get Together!

To facilitate our efforts in creating a Ward Photo Directory, we are inviting sisters in and around the Endicott/Diamond communities to get together for a Dessert Potluck this Thursday, June 27th, 6:30PM at the Endicott Store. We'll take your photo for the directory and will gather your current contact info. Along with a yummy dessert, please bring your membership number and/or LDS.org login info and we can make live updates to the online database.

In the weeks and months to come, we will be organizing similar get-togethers in the other communities which comprise the Colfax Ward. Many thanks to Sister Amanda Pederson who has accepted the calling to head up this effort! Ultimately, everyone will benefit from having a Ward Photo Directory.

Lemon Angel Food Cake

Here is a delightful and extremely easy to make recipe, courtesy of Sister Beth Moxley. Prep time is literally minutes, allowing you to have this delicious and simple dessert ready to serve in 35 minutes.

Sister Moxley's Lemon Angel Food Cake

LEMON ANGEL FOOD CAKE

1 box Angel Food Cake Mix
2 cans Lemon Pie Filling

Heat oven to 350 degF
 In a large bowl, combine Angel Food Cake Mix and both cans of Lemon Pie Filling. Mix well.
Bake in 9"x13" glass pan sprayed with Pam. 

Bake for 25-30 minutes until lightly golden brown. Sprinkle with powder sugar. Optionally, serve with Vanilla ice cream and garnish with sprinkles.
